Impressed with Wesabe

I continue to be impressed with Wesabe.  The product is not without warts, but it is being aggressively improved almost daily and the attention that is given to community input is second to none.  The stakeholders, from the C-Level officers on down, are extremely responsive in their forums (called "Groups" in Wesabe-ville).

If you're worried about the security of publishing your financial data on someone else's server, don't be.  Well, okay, that's unreasonable - it should be a primary concern - but the folks at Wesabe have gone to great lengths to protect you and your data.  They published their techniques for guarding your privacy in (IN)SECURE Magazine.  The article can be downloaded in PDF format.  If this is the only thing stopping you then it's worth a read.  It might ease your mind.

If you're interested in centralizing your banking and don't mind encountering a few bugs/limitations while the application grows, I recommend giving it a try.  It don't cost nothin' and, who knows?  You just might like it.

One cautionary note: Their documentation sucks.  More accurately, it's virtually non-existent.  They offer a few really nice introductory screencasts to get you started, but after that you're pretty well on your own.  I've registered my complaint and they've assured me that they're working on it.  If their history is any indication then they are, in fact, working on it.  Hopefully it won't take too long.
