Musical Renaissance
Every so often I'll be going about my daily endeavors, which almost always include a heavy dose of music, and I'll be struck by just how good a particular song is. I mean, I know it's good - that's why it's on my iPod, but I mean really struck.
Today it's the Lovemongers ' cover of Led Zeppelin's Battle of Evermore. Absolutely outstanding. The Wilson sisters - of Heart fame, of course - have always been able to bring it (if we ignore their late 80's sound which was a little, um, poppy), but wow. This is a fantastic cover. Seriously.

A couple days ago I came across a cd I burnt a long while back with keith urban - you'll think of me. I hadn't heard it since it came out and it actually gave me goose bumps. It's a great song when your trying to get a woman out of your head and out of your life.

Ah yes, the exorcism of a woman. I went through the same thing about a year and a half ago. I'm not much of a country fan, but I did find myself listening to a lot of Carbon Leaf and a lot of blues. The latter seems cliche, but it's great music.
