Mac vs. Windows : Typography Rendering
I've always hated the way web page typography renders on the Mac. It's blurry. No, not exactly blurry. Fuzzy, maybe? Hell, I don't know what it is, but on-screen text is nowhere near as crisp and clean and readable as the same text on Windows.
I never understood why it's so different until I read this article by Joel Spolsky . I still hate it, but it's kind of nice to know why I hate it. Or maybe not. In some ways, it kind of makes me hate it more.
Ah, the paradox of knowledge...
